SKF makes acquisition to strengthen its Condition Monitoring portfolio

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, March 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SKF has signed an agreement to acquire G-Tech Instruments Inc., a leading specialist within condition monitoring and measuring instruments technology. The acquisition is a key step for SKF in leveraging digitally enabled reliability solutions to strengthen its end-user and aftermarket presence as well as deepen customer value and engagement across critical industries, including marine, railway, heavy industries, energy, and food and beverage.

By acquiring G-Tech, SKF will enhance its condition monitoring offering, one of three priority areas within the Group’s service business. G-Tech’s advanced diagnostic solutions complement SKF’s current portfolio, thereby enabling the development of a single, integrated ecosystem that allows customers to detect issues early, plan proactive maintenance, and improve equipment cost of use, performance and uptime.

Founded in 1998, G-Tech is headquartered in Taiwan and has emerged to a technology leader in its field with critical IP of vibration analyzers, diagnostic tools, and condition monitoring systems. G-Tech is a supplier to SKF and has 50 employees. The company reported sales of approximately MUSD 10 in 2025 with a strong margin. The acquisition is expected to be completed within six months.

  1. Comparto con muchos la visión de que la universidad, salgo contadas excepciones va muy por detrás del mundo real, con una actitud muy reactiva.
    Hace años que salí de ella, aunque continúo ligado, intentando terminar otros estudios que hace tiempo comence (soy un ferviente entusiasta de estar continuamente formándome… aunque solamente sea como intención, y el estar matriculado en alguna asignatura de una 2ª carrera me ayuda en ocasiones a autoexigirme un plus adicional).

    Lo penoso es que solamente mantengo relación, muy de vez en cuando, con 2 profesores. Los únicos de los que guardo un buen recuerdo. Y casualidad esta que no son profesionales de la docencia, sino profesionales de la industria privada que están en la docencia por convicción e ilusión personal. Cuánto tiene que aprender la universidad de muchas escuelas de negocios…
